“Renegade kite bars”

Ktrac developments is run by kite flyers for kite flyers and we are based in Cambridgeshire England, we are all fanatic wind seekers and traction is our passion with boards, buggies or bare feet our aim is simple to have fun! Mostly along the east coast and sometimes in a farmer’s field the dream is the same to find that perfect clean wind that powers our sport.

So how did we end up with the X-LITE?

It all started with a chance remark by a good friend of mine, we were sat down waiting for the wind to make an appearance and I was telling him about my disappointment at not being able to find the right bar for my Samurai I was looking for something that had a quality brake trimming system like the systems used on depowerable bars, although depower kites work differently the same technology could be applied to 4 line kites enabling me to fine tune the brakes on my kite for better handling, I was explaining the theory to my mate when he said “you have been an engineer why don’t you make one yourself” so I did.

That was a few years ago now and with a lot of help, bravery and a bit of faith from my flying friends I started selling the X-LITE to the global kite community, we now have sales all across the world including New Zealand, Australia, USA, Europe and the far east.

What makes the bar unique is the centre line brake trimming system with the brake cleat attached directly to the bar, this enables the user to fine tune their kite, giving you a faster and more precise response than you get from a convention 4 line bar.

All KTRAC kite bars are hand made using top quality components from market leading companies such as Clamcleats, Marlow ropes and Dyneema and we only use uk produced aluminium tube renowned the world over for it’s strength, All of our products are based on 3 key elements simplicity, function and trust, Four models are availble, the classic xlite, the extreme use stealth, the stealth X crossover bar and the stealth DPR depowerable bar, .  That’s why all K-TRAC products come with a 100% money back guarantee.
